Skip Beat!

This entry goes back a few months when in yet another forum - sometimes I seems I spend all day in forums even though I do actually have a life! - someone suggested I may like this.
Trouble was you'd struggle to find anime that is show on the TV over here that would fully use one hand. This took me to a popular US anime streaming site that doesn't cost in order to view it.
Little did I know shortly after starting to view it - an episode a day - there was a official DVD out and it would easy to buy as the seller has a ebay store!

It is the story of the personal development of Kyoko Mogami who at the age of sixteen discovers her childhood friend and romantic goal, Sho Fuwa, only keeps her around to act as a maid and earn his living expenses, as he works his way to become the top pop idol in Japan.
Upon this being both furious and heartbroke, she vows to get her revenge by outdoing him in show business.
Although this was her motivation in time she finds what she needs to become a actress via the LME agency in the specially created Love Me section where she learns humility and taking pride in her work with co-member Kanae Kotonami who Kyoko calls 'Moko'.
She goes on to star in Dark Moon as 'Mio'.

Ren Tsuruga is a famous actor in Japan giving the impression of being polite and extremely nice but soon with Kyoko present his true nature is revealed although in time he warms to her. For a attractive person he doesn't appear to have very deep romantic feelings, something that cause problems in his role of "Katsuki" in Dark Moon.

If that would of been the sum of the emotional import of this story it wouldn't of been so great but you could say it's a story of perseverance, growing in maturity and giving your all no matter what.

This DVD is out in Malyasia and contains all 25 episodes as shown by TokyoTV

Although it is inexpensive for a 2 DVD set, the packaging is lovely.
