Trapped and causing issues...

Warm week here which is much appreciated after all the damp and cold blowy spell he had not so long ago but not too hot to cause problems with shopping - melting ice creams anyone?

Things you may not realize until it's a bit too late include things that get caught where they shouldn't such as two p coins in washing machines that just seem to get in filter compartments usually from trouser pockets of the male of the species and aluminum foil that having been put typically on backing trays somehow end up covering the lower half of the fan in a fan assisted even that works by pumping the hot air in  and out rather than elements in it.

This resulted in these being undercooked and rescuing with a microwave oven to avoid food poisoning  while I investigated the reason for it with a torch and carefully removed said foil.

There's always something,eh?

Middle East War

Well a few weeks in, this Middle East War is far from over although it seemed to be short action at the start instigated by the United States and Israel.

It's seen the relationship between Prime Minister Starmer and President Trump being tested  with the latter issuing numerous petulant, often less than true statements, not helped by so many aircraft carriers and other vessels being in for repairs and not being deployed as UK bases are under threat. 

Unbelievable given noises around action had been about for awhile raising the ire of the Cypriot Consulate with good reason as having a base there place a threat from Iran and it is part of that islands security.

The deputy prime minister even said Cyprus is a NATO member which is just not true.

The conflict has spread from the U.S. and Israel attacking Iran with retaliatory action, Iranian proxies in the Lebanon attack Israel which has resulted in extensive bombing and troop occupying parts and other states in the Gulf being attack by Iran.

Shipping is being attacked by Iran too - chiefly oil - raising oil prices with significant impact on World Economies.

We still lack a clear case for the U.S. involvement with ever changing explanations.

It just seems very ill thought throw to me.

An Innocent Mindset

 

People like to have you believe you can't, it's all "sugarcandy mountain" and basically maturity equals not trusting a friggin' soul cos everybody turns on everybody really don't they?

I think that's a kind of mental contagion that is quite harmful even though it's sensible to ask yourselves a few questions about a situation or a piece of advice procured because it encourages the very mindset it is supposed to protect people from and for somethings an assumption of innocence makes far more sense.

What would happen if we changed our legal basis of one that guilt is assumed and people had to prove innocence?

A loss of freedom and a good many punished for not doing the same as someone else regardless of actual intentions and doesn't a persons intentions count for something like showing what they really were planning on doing.

Sometimes I just think people have got things just wrong.
