Good Friday Edition
This weekend - an extended one - is Easter which for me was always linked with church services such as Palm Sunday and colourful events such as having Jesus, the Christ, played going around the area on a donkey with everyone following.
For some of us that life, his death and the resurrection are the backbone of what Easter means, the core of our faith even if we may join in with other things we do at Easter, especially for children.
Easter Egg hunts with people in colourful costumes are a common thing, lots of fun to take part in and can be tied into a party of which most of us love anyway.

Easter edition
Given how things have been of late we are continuing with last years "new" tradition.
It's almost Bunny Time as it is Easter which like many of our traditions does go back to pagan times even if the 'shell' is wrapped around the Easter Story and message in the Bible with it's message of enduring hope for the world following the resurrection.Today going by the Christian Calendar is Good Friday.
For some of you no doubt it's the chocolate you go for as much as I do both and things like Easter Egg Hunts are happening no doubted aided by the need to recover from all we've had in the last two and a bit years and Brownies/Guides are taking part in easter themed activities too which is relief given how much girls have been impacted mentally by this pandemic.
I'm sure many will find some comfort in new old rituals.
HAPPY EASTER!

The easter weekend edition
This year we're doing things different.
It's almost Bunny Time as it is Easter which like many of our traditions does go back to pagan times even if the 'shell' is wrapped around the Easter Story and message in the Bible with it's message of enduring hope for the world following the resurrection. For some of you no doubt it's the chocolate you go for as much as I do both and with a few restrictions things like Easter Egg Hunts are happening and Brownies/Guides are taking part in easter themed activities too which is relief given how much girls have been impacted mentally by this pandemic.
Have fun this easter and make a difference in the world today!
