Return to cuteness

Today I should be back traffic permitting from LG camp while nothing has been automated at tumblr, fa etc only on on the external blogs.

I don't know how it's going to pan out cos for one thing we haven't been together for like ages and for another we are all at different points along where we along removing restrictions that has made it possible we are at our most comfortable.

Society is generally all over place from those who oppose (and continue to) these steps and those who feel they've been cheated not having 'real' freedom but in some situations still being strongly advised to follow some measures and maybe having measures for the biggest events come mid to late September.

Followers of the Tumblr will have noticed what only be described as the Cuteness Overload  in recent months as it's moving toward what I'm feeling happier blogging about bypassing the discourse and issues from past.

For me to feel happy about making a post on that site is something I've battled with with more clearer focus about what is there and from where any reblogs come bypassing some imposed restrictions from others who reblogged but stuck their own community interactions limits on it.

At least it does appear to working out for now.

Prepare to take off!

 Phew what a scorcher of a week,what?

I like exploring and I'm presently running around finding the things after sixteen months out of the usual life trying to remember where I last put them apart from doing such modern things as checking the credit and battery charge on my cellphone.

The grump, to whom it can be said has been living up to that name adding and even try cultivate new things to grump over should be getting my case down tomorrow so I can start the packing having weighed up what will fit where and what may need to go on my tote bags.

As it will be warm I may decide to pack more minimally.

Unlike a few years ago I have to find space to pack my dslr and two zoom lenses although I'll have 'at hand' a compact camera on me for general shots as my trusty Canon died last time and I bought a new Sony that has a sharper and more extended zoom range on with stabilization which helps with my shaky paws.

A tranquil few days

Well, I'm back and while the 'Littles' part of being away should be on the next edition of said blog, on this blog we just acknowledge its existence and move on to the extent to which I have fully developed adult side which isn't generally the case.
With some concerns, I did pack the 'big camera' and a couple of Zoom lenses with me carefully sandwiched between the clothes because one thing that crosses both sides of me is photography in a more high school plus level and 'picture taking' on the other and a camera that affords more control and range within the focal lengths allows for more creative pictures apart from higher optical quality.
That meant I was able to take pictures like this with the advantages of image stabilization where I normally struggle with 'long lenses' and even against the light that I feel show the kind of tranquil feeling I had while out exploring on foot.
Deliberately using a longer focal length and a wider aperture just softens the background sufficient while leaving enough information for you to take in.

The Summer break

This week things will be a bit busier as I sort out things out for end of term here so I'm packing things away for that tradition of spending some time as a guest of a grown up sharing what I have learnt and not just the academic stuff but how I've grown more as a person able to take on personal responsibility .
That means cases to pack not just the stuff to be checked through, washed or replaced for next term but what I'm to wear because they have me in uniform so it's not like I get a break from that but as I benefit from routines maybe that's not a bad thing.
Finishing off a bit from last weeks entry, we had President Trump come visit our Country with the expected protests some of which like the parachute stunt were out of line as apart from anything else getting that close to any leader is often likely to lead to arrests or even being fired on.
He appears to have enjoyed his time and perhaps upon learning more about things first hand might be a little less inclined to shoot off on Twitter first on topics he doesn't actually know focusing more on what he needs from us rather than getting distracted with ill thought out comments.

Great views while away

I have been away for six days the full account needless to say will be posted on the other blog after the weekend having had a fun time.
One thing I did do quite a bit of unexpectedly was nature walking although I can't say exactly where due to the rules of the group but it was in East Anglia so I did take my camera with me.
Walking and from that general fitness is something I have been working on since third quarter last year where I noticed I was having difficulty staying in breath after relatively modest exertion, feeling everything was becoming more of an effort.
I took a number of photos of which this one was one I was most happy with and I've shown with absolutely no processing whatsoever on a day that although relatively cold at about 7 degrees C was quite sunny out so one didn't feel it so much so long as obviously one wrapped up well.
I think it came out rather well.

Natural return

First post in the great blogisphere since arriving back from my vacation late last week and most of this one that I'll write about elsewhere later on however one I thing I won't be touch much on is the what the heck the more wobble than a blancmange governance in the White House and Trump's throwing transgendered service personal under the bus the keep the right-wingers happy cos that ship past its sailing time to blog on.
You could say in so far as what this blog is mainly around, the period away was the necessary break from brexit, post grenfell towers building control issues, trump tweets and all that which just winds me up for being internet free and spending less time watching tv news.
I spent some enjoyable time just being out doors, switched off from that, going on walks around the grounds where we stayed, admiring the trees, watching the bees and as you can see even spotted a Red Admiral butterfly out and took its picture!
Insects of a less welcome kind that did hang around were flies black with a couple of dull stripes running along their frame that tried to get everywhere!!!
A friend took some pictures of the sky at night as the sky was clear and the area doesn't suffer from the light pollution that afflicts chunks of our densly populated country fro domestic and highway related electric lighting.
That time away I feel was what I needed.

Travelogue

I quite liked this photo of someone taking one and what the young lady in was wearing.

It appears to be a fairly bight day judging by the reflections for sightseeing on some kind of a trip to the big city although I'm not too sure if I'd be walking around in heels all day. That's tiring although I guess you could carry them in a big if you taking a trip to theatre in.
Would you?

Summer memories

This time of year we're coming toward the end of the Summer Vacationing period, whither you've gone way for a week or so on one stretch of taken a number of day trips out in and around your home home district or province.
Temperatures here are back on the up which is as for all those off work but I wonder how many of you have made some great memories of these times to look back upon in years to come? The whole process of taking pictures, writing a little about what you did and with whom including putting images say of tickets couldn't be simpler today with the ability to host them on various sites like Tumblr, Flickr, Google Plus and so on to share with friends and flick thru yourself on your smartphone like a virtual photo album.
If you haven't all ready do think about getting this done as in the coming years you'll find it very useful.

Vacation!

Having returned from my vacation, I thought I'd share these pictures of Conway harbour, North Wales, with you all.
The weather forecast was grim - strong winds and heavy showers - but actually it was really sunny and only on he Wednesday was there a one hour shower mid afternoon.
All pictures taken on Olympus OM10 film slr with 35 and 50mm marque lenses.
While there I saw an exclusive interview in a newspaper by that rising young soul star Duffy, who comes from this area. Her album is available on LP and CD.

Conway

Conway is one of my favourite places to spend time relaxing. It is situated on the North Wales coast, United Kingdom and has a a Castle which was built on the orders of King Edward I of England during one of his periodic attempts to take control of the entire British Isles.
The picture is taken from Conway harbour from which short coastal excursions are operated during the summer months and also you can observe locals repairing their own boats before sailing.
Nearby is the smallest house in Wales which a lady in traditional Welsh dress will explain the history of and maybe let you take a picture of her and the house to show your friends and family.
Also to be found in Conway town centre is Aberconway House which is owned by The National Trust.
One thing any intending visitor needs to be aware of is the presence of seagulls who are somewhat aggressive in their endeavours to obtain food. They have been known to sweep overhead, land on your head and take off with your sandwiches!

Holiday Report

I visited the Snowdonia national park, in Wales recently as I had been experiencing a lot of stress and it was having a serious effect on my mental well-being.
I was greeted by exceptional hot, sunny weather affording superb views of Mount Snowdon and the isolated moorlands surrounding it.
The lambs were all out in the fields young and old some having a chew of the grass, others sheltering in the shade of nearby hedges, walls and trees.
A few had the bright idea of exploring the human domain of the narrow roads and we needed to slow down to allow them to cross back into the fields.
I liked the solitude up there but I’m not sure the idea of being literally miles way from the nearest market town would really do for me which I guess is a reflection of my urban upbringing.
Betws–y-coed is a place I like to stop off at as here are good range of shops and spectacular waterfalls. There are a lot woodlands in the area and I took a lot photos – on my ageing Olympus OM10 of the trees, sometimes lying underneath the branches to get the viewpoint I wished to capture.
Llandudno: It remains a largely unspoilt Victorian seaside resort with excellent shopping facilities. The Theatre is really good and many amateur choral performances are hold during the summer season in local churches. On Tuesday there was a Brass Band concert taking place, appropriately enough, on the Bandstand along the promenade. The players were really good –
I’m no great fan of Brass Bands but the musicianship couldn’t be faulted.
Bangor: I visit here a lot, being a University town with bookshops and some good Pubs that serve meals. There is an excellent record shop on the High Street, Cob Records, whose staffs really know about music. The main store is in Porthmadog – this is a ‘satellite’ store – it has a first rate second hand vinyl department that is well worth rummaging through and stock new vinyl releases too.

Things that didn’t go as they should: I days filming got wasted as a Fuji film become tight and tore whilst rewinding it out of the camera – we came close a to a two inch dent being added to the guest house waste paper bin!!!
