The Definitive Drifters
Some sounds it has to be said do take me back in time not least for much of that time I was glued pretty much to the radio listening to 'oldies' shows and then there are some acts I recall as both oldies at the time but contemporary too and the Drifters are one.
Let's say I've always been a fan of Ben E King's singing and of such songs as Save The Last Dance For Me, Up On The Roof, Under The Boardwalk which was covered by both the Stones and the Undertones and Saturday Night At The Movies to the point of borrowing various hit compilations.
Equally for me I have childhood memories that included new songs recorded for the UK market such as Kissin' In The Back Row Of The Movies, Like Sister and Brother, There Goes My First Love and You're Than a Number In My Little Red Book still very much the same sound but with more a poppy production that I loved to bits as new songs.
That was why I bought this 2 cd compilation because it's two thirds the classic late fifties and sixties classics very well mastered and a third those UK seventies 45's all one one album in chronological order too.

Rugrats
One of the first shows I watched when I had Sky Television was Rugrats which was a cartoon versioned depiction of the world of the Infant/Toddler on Nickelodeon which at the time was just single channel.
It was interesting to watch for the explorations of those infants characters passivity to dominance from extroverted to very introverted and how the group interacted with Angelica often getting the upper hand.
I bought several dvd's including the full length animations for home watching as like a good number of us, we are watching very much from a more child-like mindset, seeing parts of ourselves reflected in it.

The Care Bears and me
One of the favourite tv shows from the mid 1980's for me was the Care Bears which had a lot tie in merchandise.
I am a girl who cares about things that happen to others be they close friends or communities miles from here, feeling their sadness, anger and pain and truly doesn't want to cause that to happen although I am also sometimes naughty too.

I'd would do almost anything to help my friends if I could deal with their emotions and needs being prepared to share whatever I have at the time and I have

Sony Mastersound cds
These came out during the mid 1990's and I bought several of them as they purported to from the original mastertapes and were a bit cheaper than those issued by so-called 'audiophile' labels such as MFSL and DCC.
They were a mixed bag - I couldn't get on with the issue of Boston S/T being screechy replacing that by a regular US version - and failed to see the sense and trying to make a audiophile issue of Bat Out of Hell, an album that has lots of mixing issues whatever you might think of it musicallyThis is one people disagreed over and I feel the original lp is king but this is overall better.
This though was pretty good coming out in 1996 presenting her vocals well.

New Year Address 2008
Well, that was 2007 for you where That Boarding School Girl continued on talking about my interests, hobbies and thoughts while allowing me to live this life as a regressed very much child-like person I am and simple cannot be any other.
That's why there's a need at times to talk about my life on here and about what age regression in it is even though this isn't a stereotypical blog of littles with just child-like and appropriately child related interests and sometimes I will talk about topical issues as the exist around the world I inhabit like you do.
Unlike the other blog, this has a more journalling feel rather like today people do with blogs and you tube VBlogs but reflecting a bit more of the era I was at school in I set things down on a blog just being a twenty-first century equivalent of a school type magazine of the sort at my boarding school we'd put together.
Happy New Year everyone!
