Spring has finally sprung here at chez Caro's with what might be a warm mini season this weekend which will be welcomed after last weekends damp squid so the layers can come off and the gingham dresses go on.
This entry is very much hot of the press as I went out this morning first thing with an idea in mind for this blog entry, put my shoes on and took a few pictures. One I liked was that of our cherry blossoms as I just love the shade of pink they have being a highlight of year when they emerge.
My ginger cat has been out a bit too, rolling about in the grass and sunbathing on the mat.

Leave the habitat alone!
One thing I've always been interested in is nature, a product I guess of spending most of my life in the Countryside and recently I captured this
The Dandelion is no looker as flowers go but it supports quite a bit of wildlife so deserving our support in the face of those who wish to make our woodlands and fields just like a bowling green by removing them and only allowing a small number of cultivated flowers and plants to grow.

It's a bright May afternoon
I had a totally different idea for this entry yesterday but my ISP for the 700th time went down for several hours so I thought better of it. As soon as BT Fibre up this area I'll switch to them even if it needs a wifi add on for this PC and some work in the hallway to fit the gear. I've had enough of my current provider. (rant)
I think I last mentioned Boccherini late in 2006 in connection with his Cello Concertos but recently I picked up this set of two cds of his String Quartets which Naxos put out in 2002.

I love chamber music but Boccherini tends to be somewhat neglected when it comes to commercial recordings so it's a delight to have these performances which are excellent at budget price so well recorded.
As well I picked up a copy of the 1997 budget 'Duo' reissue of the classic 1967 Opus 12 Symphonies cycle originally issue as three lp box set by Raymond Leppard and the New Philharmonia Orchestra now slotted in two gorgeously filled cds very well digitally re-mastered.

I've also been walking rather a lot not just cos the weather's been better but also I felt a bit stiff getting into a vicious circle of to hard to move so don't move, so even harder to move.
I'm purposely not setting targets, creating schedules or anything that may make it seem like a chore or worse still, remind of you school PT instructors barking instead I'm incorporating walks into everyday activities by extend the stroll to the corner store or just taking off any old how for a mile or two whenever I get a 'wanna be outside running around' feeling.
So far in I've lost five pounds without making any diet changes and more importantly can do a mile without feeling tired. That's some achievement

Bloomin' great!

Well it may surprise you to know I just love flower displays whither or not they are table displays like the one shown that you have especially if you had guest come on over and you were setting your table to serve them a meal or the sorts of displays we may have in our front rooms or even bedrooms.
It's hard to put your finger on exactly what it is but somehow it just looks that much better and in the case of front rooms and bedrooms very relaxing to gaze upon them as they give you this sense of calm.
You can of course buy them ready made up but any local florist should be able to supply with with freshly cut flowers and the feed that you really need to add to the water to keep them fresh for a week or two.
For bedrooms though there is a good alternative especially if you suffer from pollen allergies and that is silk flowers that these days are very realistic in their texture which can be easily arranged into small containers.
I re-used a pop bottle - a Britvic orange actually - after removing the labels as a vase and it was very effective so you see it can be done on a low budget!
